Iranian security forces opened firing on anti-hijab protesters : at least 8 dead
In continuing effort to crackdown of anti-hijab protests the Iranian Security forces have killed at least 8 protesters since Wednesday night.
Security forces opened fire on mourners and protesters, killing at least eight, according to human rights NGO Amnesty International.
"Iran's security forces killed at least eight people since last night as they again opened fire on mourners and protesters," Amnesty said on Thursday.
Iranian security forces reportedly opened fire on protesters, in Mahsa Amini's hometown, who marched in thousands on Wednesday to mark 40 days since her death.
The human rights NGO also condemned the "reckless and unlawful use of firearms".
